Dairy farmers supply the fresh hay milk daily, which is processed into the tasty cheese.

Alpine Dairy Museum

Attached to the alpine dairy Lehern is an inn, the "KäseAlp". During a tour you can learn the secrets of the holes in the cheese. In the information center you can learn everything about the production of Allgäuer Bergkäse and Allgäuer Emmentaler from the cheese master. During a subsequent tour of the show dairy, you will gain interesting insights into traditional, artisanal production and enjoy views into the "glass cheese ripening cellar".
